Do you ever feel rushed or pressured to do something? get somewhere? make a decision? take an action in your life?
If yes, you are not alone.
The pace of modern life seems to get ever faster.
The wisdom practices of cultures who live close to the land have a practice for this.
They go into nature and they sit with it.
They find ‘quiet mind’ and the peace that lives within.
The practice of sit spot is to go into nature and to give your self a moment of stillness and connection to synchronize with the rhythm of the natural world. By spending time in nature in this way you strengthen your awareness and awareness is like a muscle. In our urban lives, often our awareness muscle has atrophied. As you build that muscle back up, you become aware of what’s going on around you as well as inside you.
Explore this time-honored practice for 30-Days with Kelly Eide from TRUE Trust.Respect.Unique.Energy. We’ll sit in nature together once a week in Dubai’s lush green space at Safa Park. Meet us at (The Archive). Each week we’ll introduce practices which are easy to use and implement in your life. We’ll discuss what’s coming up for you as you practice on your own each day. We’ll take your inner awareness and return it to your natural state of inner peace.
Learn some of the ancient wisdom practices and core routines of nature awareness. Fox walk through the park. Turn on your owl eyes and come and sit with us.

SIT SPOT: INNER PEACE FOR URBAN SOULS
Learn MoreInternational horse photographer Astrid Harrisson, well known for her striking and empathetic imagery of horses and the cultures in which they subsist, was ‘Artist in Residence’ at the Majlis Gallery in Bur Dubai for the month of March. This season, Astrid joined up with TRUE CEO and Equus Coach Kelly Eide to create a unique opportunities to share their work with horses out in the UAE desert at Forta Stud and Al Asayl Show Jumping.
Astrid and Kelly were a force in action as they took their workshop participants through the psychology of equine behavior, safety and communication before setting up a series of photographic opportunities including a heartwarming moment with a tiny young filly celebrating her jittery and lanky long legs, a yearling taking a refreshing shower after a workout in the pasture and a grand Arabian mare kicking up dust through the desert at sunset.
The focus then returned to Bur Dubai where, from 25th – 29th March Astrid’s eagerly anticipated photogravure etchings from her new collection were displayed at the Majlis Gallery.
